Writer's Block: Family Heirlooms
Is there anything in your family that has been passed down from generation to generation, or from family member to family member? What is it? And who do you plan to pass it on to?
Nothing so far. Maybe my sister's clarinet... who knows.

Writer's Block: Investigations of a Female Nature
Who is your favorite lady detective from movies, books, or TV?
Nancy Drew

Writer's Block: Life of the Party
Do you know any party tricks that can impress a crowd? Or even just a little kid?
I like to use the "Grab Random Award, Degree, or Certificate" trick or just the outright "Announce that I'm majoring in Accounting" trick... seems to impress a lot of adults.

Actually, I don't know any party tricks :P

Writer's Block: Total Eclipse of the Sun
Solar eclipses, like the one visible in India and across Southeast Asia today, have often inspired violence, fear, and superstition in the past. What do they signify to you?
... a solar eclipse?

Writer's Block: Le Quatorze Juillet
Happy Bastille Day! Today the French celebrate the event that sparked the French revolution. In honor of our Francophone friends, what is your favorite French thing? Bonus points for answers en français.
*showing off my ignorance for once... or at least deliberately so*
All the cool things that have "French" in their name, which may or may not have actually come from french. French fries, french bread pizza, french toast, french bread... :P

All joking aside, I do like the Statute of Liberty and the Eiffel Tower.

Writer's Block: Mentor Me
Have you ever had a mentor or other influential person in your life who helped you along a certain path in school, work, or life in general?
Not really, I had people influence me on minor things every here or now, but not really in a major way.

Writer's Block: Party Time
What was the last great party you attended?
The last great party that I attended was in my senior year of high school. It was senior skip day... and I did not skip!  (btw, Senior Skip Day of my senior year was among the best days of school ever). Well, my friend skipped though because she had to get ready for her birthday party that night. We went out to the local pizza place like we usually did for her birthday. Then, we drove to the movies and saw Yours, Mines, and Ours. Awesome time. :)

Writer's Block: Lights Out
All it takes is a blackout to realize how much we rely on electricity. What's your most memorable story from a power outage?
a) Yesterday was the first time since May where I skipped a journal entry. So, I'm doubling up on Writer's Blocks.
b) Freshman year of high school. It was a February morning, I believe, and I was walking downstairs, trying to get up to my Spanish I class upstairs. I remember the lights went out and the first thing I thought was "HALLEJEUAH!" (or however it's spelled). I spent most of my time in class playing card games with two of my friends and this senior who was the teacher's assistant (ALL the girls had a crush on him *i dropped my crush on him when i found out everyone else had a crush on him, but my crush developed when i saw him sitting across the aisle from me on the bus every morning when he would listen to his CD player... fun times, now on to the story). Then they announced we were going home. When everyone was walking to the buses, the lights turned back on, but it was too late BECAUSE WE WERE GOING HOME! :)

That was the BEST day of high school EVER.

Writer's Block: A Few of the Challenges I Face
What challenges stand in the way of your ideal lifestyle? How are you working to overcome them?

b) Time
c) School
d) Sheer lazyness

Writer's Block: My Ideal Life Ten Years from Now…
What does your ideal lifestyle look like 10 years from now?
My ideal lifestyle would be the lifestyle I lived 10 years ago.

In all serious-ness, I hope the lifestyle that I live 10 years from now is a simplistic one that isn't filled with too much technology and gimmicky fads that don't work or will fade out fast.

In other words, my ideal lifestyle would be the lifestyle I lived 10 years ago.
